Stick feeders supply whole component sticks to the semi- automatic Pick&Placer. Thus sensitive parts dont have to be needlessly decanted. You can enable a single or multiple components for current assembly.
By using a manual carousel bulk components can be supplied to the machine. For varying projects, multiple carousels can be prepared, which can be kitted in a single step.
The patented bulk containers provide resistors, capacitors and ICs out of small containers to the machine. These containers can be pooled using a rail-system, so that a variety of components can be stored dust-free for assembly.
Tape strip feeder
This feeder type can handle a single strip of a component tape. Each part can be picked up directly from the tape, it isn’t necessary to decant them into bulk containers first. Twenty four 8mm strips can be mounted to this feeder.
Fine-Pitch parts, BGAs or plugs are mostly delivered in trays. This packaging unit can be supplied directly at the manipulator. A safe assembly process is guaranteed using the Fine-Pitch function in combination with the X / Y – axis fixation and an optional motor-driven component-lowering (FP 904).
By using tape-strip feeders, sections of a tape can be feeded into the Pick&Place machines. This feeder combines different width of strips and makes it possible to supply small amounts of different component models i.e. for prototype assemblies.
Automatic carousel / paternoster
This automatic feeding types can carry up to 504 component models at once. The required part is transported to a fixed pickup position using the PC software. This position is shown using the integrated LEDs.
Both systems also can be driven manually with a foot pedal. Automatic feeders are useful in combination with the SM 902 system.
